Borano only works with Suppliers that have achieved SmartWoodcm
Certification, to promote the Forest Stewardship Council’s rules for
well-managed forests. We require suppliers to provide
documentation showing compliance with both international and their
own country’s environmental management standards.
The
Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), aims to ensure wood is
harvested in a sustainable and responsible manner. With its
multi-stakeholder approach, it is the global standard setter for
responsible forestry. The Rainforest Alliance is accredited by the
FSC, which was established in 1993.
The FSC Trademark identifies only those products
which contain wood from well-managed forests, certified in
accordance with the rules of the Forest Stewardship Council.
