Sustainability – Leaving Green Footprints 

We are dedicated to reducing our ecological impact on the earth by using only sustainable timber for our exquisite products. The term ‘sustainable timber’ means that the tree harvested to make your beautiful, handcrafted Mahogany door will be replaced with another tree.  Where one is taken away, another is planted. This way, the forest maintains its ecological function so it may continue to promote future seed growth, biodiversity, climate and water cycles.

Using sustainable timber also means using local people to work in the forests harvesting and replacing the Mahogany trees.   

Borano is proud to only work with suppliers that have achieved Certification, to promote the rules for well-managed forests.  We require suppliers to provide documentation showing compliance with the international environmental management standards.
